Given this is hard to pin down I opted for a non-sense title but perhaps it will make sense by the time you've read this. Normally I'd think I'd like this game which has a "duh" factor to why I bought it. Having played it for a while I can say, I don't think I do like it for an array of reasons that go from personal preference to technical (but not really to do with Early Access issues). So the first thing to note is depending on where you buy the game you may get "less game." Basically mods won't be available to you because "freedom" or something. Sadly I've come across a lot of games lately with various features where depending on your platform or place of purchase you get "less" due to this "modder freedom to choose" various things. Next up are the controls. This game has a strange twin stick shooter set up without being a twin stick shooter. Given I hate twin stick shooters that doesn't help but it's kinda worse. The controls are really clunky and frustrating. This isn't really an EA issue where they will "work it out" over time but rather this is just how it's designed. Now this could change of course but it seems like this is just how it is. The twin stick thing combined with the iso view can really create some odd issues. No matter what perks you have or how tricked out your character is every character feels like some bumbling fool in a movie about a bumbling fool. Past the input issues is just how the game plays out. It's taken something that we're into as an exciting scenario and turned it into a dull chore. Between doing laundry because you got some dead rat on your shirt and or getting swarmed because your character did the wrong action (go through the window, nope I'ma close it then stand here like an idiot so they can bite me) the game feels like a baby sitting simulator. Oh my character is crying...cue things you do to stop a baby from crying. Bottom line is the game just feels dull. No excitement, no adventure, not even bleak doom.
