Great gameplay, supersetting, nice story
the game is set in a futuristic space station. It starts slow, but then progressively opens in thousands possibilities in gameplay. Very nice ending, too

Hidden gem? No. Hidden masterpiece
First off: what are the shortcomings? I've encountered some bugged quest markers and even one broken minor sidequest. The movement can be a bit awkward and takes a bit to get used to. The movement in zero gravity is very awkward even once you get used to it. The main issue though was the lack in weapon variety. You absolutely should make use of the typhon powers to make up for it, the game doesn't punish you for your curiosity, merely curbs your overconfidence here and there. Everything else was fantastic. The gameplay, the exploration, the non-obtrusive and organic sidequests, the immersive and oppressive atmosphere. And the story. Good lord, you just don't see it coming, though it doesn't hit you completely out of the blue. All in all an amazing experience and a must-have for any fan of atmospheric shooters. Any and all flaws are forgiven in my book.

Awesome game ruined by broken controls
Beautiful game, but alas, I couldn't get past the first zero g mission. The controls/physics are entirely broken. Character doesn't move in the direction of control, plus if you even move near an object, you get flung off into random directions at random (but pretty high) speeds only to start moving at another random, high speed direction after a bit. It's happened every single time I've tried to play that mission, and since it's not too long into the game, I can't progress. I can be at total rest, then I start moving randomly (playing on kb and mouse, so I know 100% there's no stick drift or other stupidity causing this). And once moving, the random pinball mechanics start up. Since it's from 2017, I highly doubt any fixes or patches are coming, so unfortunately, this leaves it in a broken state where I can't continue. Maybe a Windows 11 thing, because I have the game installed on both my desktop and laptop, the former with AMD and the latter with Nvidia. Issue occurs on both, so it's not a GPU issue. Super disappointed, because I really wanted to like it. Was enjoying the heck out of it until encountering this game ruining bug.

Surprisingly good
Bought this game on a sale, with a shoulder shrug, thinking it would be a remake of the older 2006 game - and boy was I wrong. The story is very engaging, with a number of twists and and ending that feels like a punch to the stomach (wait for the end-credits scene or press Esc). The DLC didn't engage me though, but even so it was money very well spent! Recommended!

Absolutely Solid Game!
I was a little hesitant to dip my toe into this one as I don't do well with horror games, but despite it being almost 2spooky4me, the introduction had me completely hooked. Just about every facet of this game is finely honed, from the gorgeous art direction of art deco meets industrial sci-fi, to the intelligent level design that encourages and rewards exploration. I could write an essay on the meticulous craftsmanship of this title, but the tl;dr: fans of sci-fi, survival, creative gameplay, exploration - get this game!
