I don't recommend this game.

I bought it full price when it first came out. I was bored to death and the trading system was not what the original trailers advertised. I expected an advanced trading system where I could profit! Nope! no profeits, mostly loses as you lose neturality with other races just by trading to get those resources the race you want to befriend desires. Uhhh! So must waste of time trying to improve my relationships jsut to see them drop to enemies with once friendly action to another race.

Human is the bottom of food chain.

This game has massive potential. If you need to cure that Zelda itch then this game may scratch that, but it may have game aspects you are not familiar with. Gameplay & quick-dive into the world of Pine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Tc29cEDlHQ Your human tribe needs to find a new home in a world newly discovered by your species. This world is ruled by animal tribes you must fall in line within its circle of life. Although the trading and political aspect of the game may not appeal to many it's not overly complicated. You give a certain species tribe stuff you have collected and they like you more. It just doesn't seem to appeal to many of the adventure games players and that, unfortunately, includes myself. It does leave you tons of options on how to play the story. So if you like to explore all aspects of how to go about your journey. This would be a game for you! The crafting is simple enough and gathering is straight-forward. The combat requires more tact and timing rather than just hack and slash. Also knowing when not to fight and when running may save yourself a headache. With all this said I didn't experience any technical issues with the game. It ran smoothly without error. I would recommend the game for a player that likes adventure games like Zelda and also likes to explore the numerous ways you could about completing the journey.

a few hitches, but lovely

I'm in the middle of the beginning tutorial. The story at this point remind me of Terry Pratchett's "Nation". Every game that reminds me of a Pratchett book is a good game! If you have issues with the lunge attack: press left-shift for a moment, wait for the evade movement, then press left-mousebutton. Took me a while. The camera movement is far too fast and motion sickness inducing. Beware. I'm very much looking forward to completing this game. Even after 10 minutes I'm getting a feel for the characters and am very curious of what we'll find out there...

Full of Bugs

On the surface, this game looked beautiful. A bright, vibrant world filled with places to explore and races to interact with. The idea was also very interesting. However the camera is controlled with the mouse. Very bad design because one little move of the mouse can twirl the view all around. What's really weird, when I was playing the game and moving the camera around I'm suddenly looking at nothing more than the character's teeth and gums. After a cut scene it was critical to talk to one of the villagers to progress the game, but I couldn't because he was floating up in the air. You can also "swim" down a waterfall. Anyway I fell off into the world below and was stuck down there, not knowing what to do because the game auto saved. To sum it all up, the graphics are nice, it's an interesting plot but I just couldn't play the game because it the overall mechanics of it were so poorly designed.

Mouais...

Malheureusement, je n'ai pas accroché à Pine. Au bout de 4 heures de jeu environ, je m'ennuyais toujours très ferme et, malgré les jolis graphismes, le scénario m'a laissé de marbre, le gameplay est peu intuitif et la traduction française est ratée. Je ne donne pas de note à proprement parler mais je ne peux décemment pas laisser un avis positif à ce titre.
