If You like Vikings and Settlers
It's a settler like game, with vikings. If You like the type of games, You will like this too. Nice campaign, nice multiplayer and coop game types. I like very much. New things like winter thats make the game a little bit harder then standard settlers. Much difference in Clans You can choose. Many ways to the victory.

Nice little game but too restricting
This game is nice looking with some nice interactions and objectives so I'd recommend if you want to play a chill strategy game. That said, not being able to destroy buildings, relocate certain workers, sometimes very limited resources and restriction on how many building you can build in one area makes it frustrating strategy wise. You're kinda locked into a certain path so strategy wise, it will limit the fun too. Still recommend because it's overall done nicely.

It's okay, not great
It's an okay concept, but compared to most other RTS games it falls short on most marks. My biggest gripes with the game is how lack luster the battles end up being and how restrictive the game is when exploring the maps

Awesome game! Give it a shot!
I have been playing RTS games since Herzog Zwei and Dune II so I have seen the genre evolve. Northgard is to me a great experience that combines survival, tactics, economy, fantasy and religion into a nice game that ensures hundreds of hours of replayability. It looks great, animations are fine and very colorful considering the dark tones of the story and factions. Factions are very interesting and unique. Maybe critizism is because it has a big learning curve. I had to look for strategy guides to understand a couple of things. Soundtrack is not good, but you can mute the music and play some viking music mix from YouTube. I am very happy with this game. So far it's been 50 hours and I have only played the story and 1 faction. Looking forward to try the other ones! Give this game a try and stick with it for a bit. You'll be suprised how good it is.

Solid Foundation, poor execution
The fundamentals of the game are great, but the limitless DLC and constant nickel-and-diming are a very shady practice. If money is no object, then this is worth an afternoon or two.
