Une Enhanced mais...

Le jeu original est excellent et on voit qu'il y a eu des améliorations graphiques comme par exemple les armures qui ne flottent plus (La maille par exemple donnait l'impression d'un sac poubelle qui s'agite au vent. Des bugs de la version original n'ont pas été corrigés : faute, script, etc... Pire, de nouveaux sont apparus avec des éléments qui flottent à certains endroits (les matelas sur les lits par exemples. Attention, énorme arnaque : Beamdog nous sort des DLCs (nouveaux modules qui sont bien assez cher) ; excellente nouvelle ? NON ! Ils ne prennent pas la peine de traduire leur modules et l'anglais est l'unique langue disponible. C'est à croire que ces gens ont un problème avec les autres langages ! Si ils avaient fait l'effort de proposer des traductions pour leurs DLCs, j'aurais applaudis mais là, je ne peux que les baffer !!

Amazing experience!

Game runs well and natively on Mac/Linux (thank you)/Window. I use all three of those operating systems. No hiccups, no issues. I also own the Switch version and have had a friend use it to connect in multiplayer to my PC server, which is awesome. Runs on old/new hardware alike. Gameplay: Fantastic, classic crpg gameplay with hundreds of additional modules and even MMORPG style persistent worlds such as Ravenloft: PoTM. You can point and click with your mouse to do anything, or for faster input use keyboard shortcuts. I like using JoyToKey for mouse/keyboard emulation and using a 360/GameCube controller. Good and stable and runs smooth on any hardware I’ve tried. Sound: Great orchestrated music that captures the feeling of what you’re doing, only downside is some repetition of ambient background sounds which is only really annoying if you leave the game running for an excessive amount of time while cleaning house. If Andre hammering in Dark Souls doesn’t bother you, that won’t either. Voice acting is entertaining and well done. Graphics: Great! Anyone not liking or turned off by the low poly graphics can easily download the enhanced HD graphics pack from beamdog (either under extras or from their site), but performance does a slight hit on a lower end system. Story: Which one? Comes with many different campaign modules. I’ve liked them all so far. Pretty close to a tabletop D&D experience with GM who knows how to tell a story. Content: Literally thousands of hours of well made content between all the included first party and community campaign modules, and that’s before you connect to online persistent worlds. Easily add your own character portraits. Crossplay: Any version can play with any other. Steam/GoG/Switch/Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile vers. Additionally: You’ll see other reviews complain the original Neverwinter Nights Diamond was better, if you are in this camp for some reason, you’re in luck as this also comes with the original’s Diamond version.

A disappointing mess of a game.

I own the game on steam and have reviewed it there but I felt compelled to review it on GoG to so that I could warn people away from buying it. The visual overhaul is so minimalistic and miserly that it is, in many scenes and models, unnoticeable unless you have NWN diamond running on a second monitor to compare the two. Visually speaking this is an expensive sweetfx tweak more than it is an enhancement. The support for native widescreen is nice however the game does not actually have a fullscreen button requiring you to use alt+enter to restore fullscreen after the game randomly decides after a patch to lock to windowed mode. Online play is a mess requiring multiple work arounds to get working, you also cannot manually search the sever listings when looking for a specific server. This wouldn't be a problem if the direct IP connect feature works but it doesn't. I will say that once those I employed the work arounds that I can now both play and host multiplayer sessions but I cannot give the developers any credit for that when my players and I had to check through steam community pages and reddit to find the solutions we needed so that I could manually edit .ini files in order to get the thing to work. This sort of sloppy, lazy design is unacceptable for a supposedly 'enhanced' edition. Do not buy this game, do not support this developer until they change their poor business practices.

Multiplayer lag is abysmal

The worst experience in a game I have ever had. We pulled out the old Diamond editions and old multiplayer server hacks with VPN. IT WORKED BETTER! Lan was ok, but the "enhanced" lagged all six playes. WAN was pathetic and impossible. Clearly the severs are subpar. Swear! The old version ran so much better! We all got EE to play easier WAN. Don't bother.

This game is a cancer to the community

I think the mechanics are great as others have said. I payed for diamond edition and ill stick with that. The fact its not compatible with diamond etc. editions on servers makes me think the scam outweighs the benefits. This is another example of where 2018 gaming puts the dollar over the community. Another way to screw over a decent fanbase community. its getting old and I will never buy into this bs.
