One of my first memories!

Towards the latter half of the 90's at around 2-3 years of age I remember DOS classics such as Dark Forces, 7th Guest, Dune and my all time favourite Lost Eden. While the formula of this game is rather simple (go to valley, fufill request of it's residents, rinse and repeat) the journey is a beautiful one with some of the best music in any game I've ever played in the 20 years since. Well worth a purchase!

A very unique and atmospheric adventure

This game had ground-breaking FMV animations in its time. I distinctly remember getting it on CD when it came out. It was one of the very first games on CD-ROM after Myst. The highlight of this game are, as others have noted, not so much the gameplay itself, but the animated cutscenes, art design, its odd story, unique and well fleshed-out world and last but not least, the excellent music. Judging it by its merits (and a little nostalgia), I give it 5 stars.

A unique old gem worth replaying

Lost Eden takes us on a wonderful adventure, with no combat whatsoever, in a world where dinosaurs and humans co-exist. The story follows Prince Adam and his companions on a journey to befriend and unite the people of the world and stop the Tyrann armies. This old gem has unique gameplay, is fully voiced and has an unforgettable soundtrack that plays a crucial role in bringing the atmosphere of the world to life. The narration is presented in the form of the pterodactyl Eloi telling the story many years after. The younger version of Eloi is the first of many companions that join you on your quest. During this adventure, you will have to find unique ways to befriend different dinosaur and human tribes that will each bring something to your noble cause. The out-of-this-world soundtrack composed by Stephen Picq, the beautiful dinosaur characters, the voice acting and the story are still enjoyable three decades later. I still listen to the soundtrack and enjoy replaying the game every once in a while.

You had to be there.

This was state of the art for 1995, it was the first pc game of its kind I ever played as a kid and I loved it so much! its value for me lies purely in nostalgia of course but I still love it.

Que de bons souvenirs

Un de mes jeux préféré depuis mon enfance ! Des graphismes 3D top pour l'époque, un doublage vraiment bien, une histoires top ! Quel plaisir d'y rejouer et de manière fluide et surtout en VF !!! Merci GOG
