Kingpin: Life of Crime

This would not make any list of my favorite games of all time, but I just had to chime in that it's really enjoyable. The graphics are dated and the dialogue is ripped directly from Pulp Fiction, but hard to imagine someone not finding something to enjoy here At one point in the game you can obtain bodyguards and I have to say the AI is quite good as your companions will do as they're told Intense firefights. Recommended

Kingpin is definitely a game that stands out. It stands out for novel approaches (sidekicks and NPC interactions, especially, although it was not the first FPS to incorporate those, or exaggerated "realistic" violence and profanity). It also stands out for a chore of problems, especially with sidekicks/NPCs. It's quite a pin to micromanage them to let you go where you want to go and do things you want [them] to do. Nevertheless, it's an experience commited FPS players would not want to miss. It's raw, it's unfair, it's annoying every 15 minutes over, but it's still a thing you'll want to have played. Life's a bitch ;P

Kingpin seems like it has some promise at first. That is, until you get weapons like a rocket launcher. Then it's just Quake 2 goes to town. For a Quake 2 engine game, it's not bad. At least it tries to differentiate itself from other Quake-like games. I wouldn't recommend this game. Just too dated. Also, one of the first games with liberal usage of profanity. Yes...
