Perfection assembled into an experience.
After 200 Hours and completing the first 2 Story DLC's i 100% recommend it, even for people who aren't into Open World RPG's or are looking for one that is easy to get into. But first, as a PC Gamer if you are worried about this game technically and performance wise, you don't have to. This game runs on CryEngine; and it runs super well even on older hardware. There are a handful of Graphics Settings, including super stable FPS limits if you can't reach your target FPS or your screens refresh rate. This game does not have Temporal Anti-Aliasing; and nothing looks broken at all if you decide to turn the Anti-Aliasing off completely. It's set to SMAA T2X by default which looks super smeary especially in motion, so i recommend regular SMAA or No AA for the best image quality and also performance. I played at 1440p with no AA and the game looked unbelievably good with no noticeable shimmering or artifacts. Before Playing, i 100% recommend downloading the "FPS FIX (Memory Leak)" mod, to fix crashing and lag during long play sessions due to potential memory leaks. It can also be configured to forcefully enable and disable effects like Sharpening, Bloom, Chromatic Aberration and Depth of Field. I recommend disabling the Sharpening and Chromatic Aberration only so the game looks perfectly natural, set the value for those to "0" in "mod.cfg" and set DoF, Bloom and Motion Blur values to "1" to enable them. Create a folder named "Mods" inside of the game folder to allow mods to be installed and loaded. And in the game settings set "Motion Blur" to Object so that everything, including combat looks realistic. With the default Graphics Settings the game set, and 1440p Resolution with No AA and that mod. i was able to get a locked 72fps using the in-game FPS limiter with no stutters whatsoever. Which was insane to see especially as most PC games nowadays have major performance problems.
