Beats Elder Scrolls

I'm a great fan of Morrowind and Oblivion, as I love thougt-provoking stories with twists and dark corners, that Skyrim (unfortunately) had to cut to be family-friendly and sell to the lowest possible denominator. I also do love atmosphere and great open worlds, packed with interesting, unpredictable quests. Well, KCD has all that in spades, plus something I never knew I'd love so much: a satisfying touch of realism. Boy, does it feel great to get better, stronger and skilled, in a world where packs of enemies are to be taken seriously. This game is not perfect, however, few open-world games are. It is a world with high visuals, tons of things to get into, dozens of fun mechanics, hundreds of hours of story and immersion. You can be a loathed criminal, a respected knight, a loner hunter, an obscure burgler, or something of your own making while you do spying and organizing the war effort, run an entire city and compete in fighting tournaments and all sorts of sidequests. This is the definition of value for money. Don't be afraid to try it, it's fun waiting to be had. Recommended.

True late´s middle-age experience.

The spell of this game is in beatifull (historicaly accurate) and living world (like when Gothic came). The best combat meele system, i have had ever seen (and for mainstream too hard). The game has a lot of bugs, but even now, it represents amazing experiences. Complex game design (in most activities), but still a game easy to handle. By the time, developers should repair them. It would be a great mistake, miss this unpolished star. But it is not for everybody (like Operation Flashpoint / arma) and requires some patiance.

New game full of the way its meant to be

Beautiful game. I just picked up version 1.3.1g which has had a heap of fixes applied resolving most that have been found so far on the official forum .. And having a ball. Anyone remembers how they felt when Far Cry first came out, lovely looking graphics at the time and the game engine was smooth as silk. I think the performance is still something of a bone of contention for some machines but personally with an MSI Laptop, Intel® Core™ i7 5700HQ 3ghz, NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 970M ( not top of the range anymore by far ) .. I am having no stutter or immersion breaking technical issues. The game is performing how I would expect a CryEngine game to perform, with enough detailled tweaking possibilities in settings to suit anyones needs, and lighten the load if your machine cant hack the initial ballpark setup. It works great on my machine without any manual tweaking by myself. The gameplay is everything I expected and more. Anyone who has played The Elder Scrolls series have been playing the Arcade version of this Simulator. Oblivion used to have a few mods by Duke Patrick (AKA Spooky.fx on Beth forums), Combat Archery and other Combat realism mods for later TES games. He tipped me off about this game in its early development, and I am so glad he did. Aswell as being a good representation of realistic combat, the game is addictive, very addictive. I could lose lots of sleep with this game very easily and have to be a bit more strict with myself than I have had to do with any game for a long time. In a lot of ways the game feels like a nostalgic classic already, and I have barely scratched the surface of the game. Highly recommended. Tip: Learn to double tap that L shift key to make your horse Gallop (anyone who missed this tip will probably have a bit of trouble at the game start trying to progress)

A game worth playing

Awesome game! I started playing after a patch 1.41. Never encoutered any bugs. Very hard and detailed, even a smal of your misstep could bring you alot of troble... )) (since I can't fight properly in open, I trained assasin's skills - people didn't like it, of course...) Territory is huge! If you unwilling to use fast travel, horse is the must. Talking to random people too is not useless... Really deep and interesting game.

Great game in last version without bugs.

In the latest versions without a bug, a great experience from the Middle Ages. Great story and gameplay. Do you like to just walk through the woods and collect herbs? Or hunt the hare? Fight with a sword, a hammer, a axe or a bow ... Or you can break the bandits out of the camp at night and, as a bonusy poison they food and drink before.
