Boring, with poor mechanics.

You'll spend the entire game wandering around, backtracking, trying to figure out where you still need to go. The map doesn't help in this regard, because it's centred on the player, and zoomed in. Even if you wanted to just wander a maze fighting monsters, the fighting mechanics are shallow. There's a single attack button you'll need to mash throughout the game. Monsters are either trivially easy to deal with (melee), or nearly impossible to kill without dying (ranged).

We saw this game accidentally... consulted to the brother and took. We were not disappointed! Pulls even the computer that at work is (specifics of work you sit you wait for clients). Is where to think, check reaction, observation. Very pleasant graphics (from our point of view, grew by SEGA that affects, we do not love the 3D type pull out eye) not too dark picture that pleases, in many games to it there are problems... Very recommend to those who wants to have a good time! P. S. Addition with a pyramid after the lock it that that! P.S.S Play as paladin if you want more interesting game

So boring and unepic...

I had no expectations in this game and I don't know the genre. But my motivation drowned very fast after I've realized that every single enemy in the first chapter is essentially the same enemy: Bugs and worms. Very very little variation, tons of enemies ad the same strategy in every of these encounters in way too long chapters. So it got boring very fast. Then there was a bonus stage with different enemies! This was fun! It was different. Then I realized, that these were the enemy-pool of chapter 2. The same again and again and again, smashing one button again an again and again... This game is unbelievable boring and repetitive. Graphic style is okay. But nothing special.

Picks up the gauntlet

This pseudo-perspective 2D game takes its basics from the arcade masterpiece Gauntlet (enemy mobs, generators, melee & range mixtures), but spices it up with action RPG elements like upgrades, secret areas, and section bosses. It also encourages and rewards exploration by placing rooms out of reach except by passing through other floors to access them. I've only been playing this a couple nights, and with just one character type (Paladin), so my opinion may change down the line. But so far I quite enjoy the game, and I suspect the other character types make different play strategies viable. And I have not unlocked all the areas even in the levels I have visited, so there remains much for later play-throughs to uncover. One final word - play it with a controller. It handles beautifully that way, and I can't imagine doing the rapid melee attacks via keyboard very well.

Enjoyable Masterpiece

This game has a crazy bunch of surprises, you don't need to worry about anything because it's amazingly well done. Well, the only difficulty with the game is exactly the difficulty. In easy is crazy challenging, you will reduce your lives to cero a lot of times. The matter is that you will enjoy this game anyway, the lasting appeal is marked in many ways. Incredible rewarding game, you can loot and buy on stores to strengthen yourself, fight bosses and find some secrets all over the maps. It's interesting in the first time because you can choose your own characters with special abilities. The game itself have some cheats I think, I don't use those though. Hammerwatch is with no doubt an enjoyable masterpiece. I like this game a lot, and I have a lot to play yet. The only thing to say now is support the developers and buy this game.
