Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers

If I had to pick, I'd probably choose this as my favorite adventure game of all time. Just check my avatar ;-) It has a very mature and well written story, with great characters. Add some pretty good voice acting and you have a classic. A must have for any serious gamer.

.......one of the PC's best adventure games has come to GOG! That and the fact it's the BRILLIANT talkie version, with the smooth tones of TIm Curry in the lead make this a more than worthy purchase; in fact, it's an ESSENTIAL for anyone who calls themselves a gamer!!

The entire Gabriel Knight series is characterized by its phenomenal writing. There are simply not that many other games out there that can match Jane Jensen's sense of style and character in a video game. Something that is particularly rare is the strong female characters that are woven into the stories and while Gabriel is the lead, he is matched by a series of well-rounded female characters as well. Highly recommended.

I remember playing this years ago and how it made me want to visit New Orleans. I have been to New Orleans twice since then and I was amazed at how much of the atmosphere and culture was accurately depicted in the game. Now thanks to GOG I am playing it again and it is making miss New Orleans like never before.
