Do meet your childchood heros!

It's Christmas with cherries on top and a kickstand. Full Throttle was the first game I have ever bought and being able to revisit this one of a kind classic gives me absolute pleasure. Yes, it is short and yes, I know every line of text by heart, but the almost perfect point and click from the studio that did everything just about right back then has been uplifted without damaging the core of the game.

The perfect remaster of a true classic!

Nostalgia attack!!! These remastered editions by Double Fine from golden-era LucasArts are priceless for me. Nostalgia aside, as with DF's other remastered editions, this is not some slap-dash attempt to make money off our nostalgia. It's obvious that they put in a lot of effort restoring the game with HD graphics and nice cleaned up sound. I'm especially enjoying the HD cutscenes. The effort is clear when switching seamlessly between the the original and remastered with F1, which also shows the different aspect ratio and the new art they needed to add to fill in the widescreen. Top quality! Thank you, DF and GOG. Please continue the tradition with remastering Loom, Indiana Jones Last Crusade/Fate of Atlantis, Maniac Mansion and the other classics!

Good game, mediocre remaster

The game still holds up well today although rather on the short side and I just love the dystopian future biker theme. Now when it comes to the work of Double Fine I'm on the fence. On the one hand it's really cool to be able to switch between the languages in audio and subs and between the old and remastered graphics, on the other hand they only remastered less than half of the images, there's still a lot that just has some HD filter applied and nothing more which makes for a weird mix at times with the actual HD characters and vehicles. The biggest problem is, that they didn't add frames so the extremely low frame-rate scenes look even weirder in HD than they did back then when it was just due to hardware limitations. The first cut-scene had a major desync between video and audio but apart from that, it looked and played good. I have to do a double rating here: Actual game: 8/10 Remaster: 5/10
