Hard to navigate
Things look too similar. It becomes difficult to find the building you are looking for. It adds inconvenience to managing things, which tend to stay in a near-disaster state already. After a while, I felt like I was just topping up each building as people got sick or died. Now much else going on.

One of the best Survival/City Builders
Frostpunk is set in an alternate Victorian era timeline where the world is going through a "Global chilling". A group of survivors with you as their Captain move north to a crater with a large central coal-fed generator. It gets colder and colder and you and your group has to survive by building better houses, improving the heating and insulation, researching new technologies all around this generator. Pros: - Tough Survival game with City building elements. - Beautiful graphics, snow/blizzard effects along with the sound effects give a very convincing feel. - Different paths in the tech and laws that you can implement to survive. - Multiple difficulty settings. - Several scenarios & an Endless mode for various playthroughs. Cons: - A bit demanding for older systems (Not a big deal if you have anything from the last 4-5 years). - Is really hard (you will get destroyed even on normal or easy difficulties). - A bit of RNG means you will end up losing some people even if you do everything correctly. Annoying if you are trying to go for a deathless run. I enjoyed this game a lot, although I mostly played the main campaign. Priced reasonably and was also given away by epic so you should have it if you pick the free games from there. If you like survival games or games that offer a stiff challenge this is the one for you.

More work than fun
The graphics are good and the story line is decent if you don't think about it too much. The game is very difficult I thought - a lot of trial and error to figure out how things work. Once you get past this, if you stuck with the game long enough, it starts to become fun. Sadly the fun is short lived as the story quickly moves forward and you find yourself scrambling to avoid the next catastrophe. Most city builder games try to adjust the game to your speed, allowing you to grow the city as and when additional infra structure is created. In this game it is just one disaster after another and you have very little time to respond to each. I suggest saving your game between these challenges so that you need not start over from the beginning each time as you try to figure out how to deal with each crisis. I get the designers wanting to keep the game moving but with no difficultly adjustment (which I could see anyway) this game quickly became more work and stress than fun. To bad. This game could have been a lot of fun if the major events were spread further apart so you aren't constantly being rushed to solve the crisis de jour.
