Awesome, if not entirely original for indie games released as of late, color palette and low-polygon models. Surprising mix of genres in the OST, but some songs(like the one in the tavern) quickly get grating. Good combat system, takes a bit more brains than persona but not much. Interesting setting, especially for people who either hail from the given area or people entirely foreign to it. Doesn't handhold with quests, feels like an old game in this regard. Still not cryptic and easy to follow if you actually read the dialogue.

Pauca sed bona, Short but Good

This was great! When I seen the trailer back when it was announced I knew it was going to be a something cool but I didn't realize that it was also be so funny! Sure, it's also grim but, hey, that's awesome!

As an american, I know very little about the culture of Hungary, but this game did a fantastic job enveloping the player into the world while providing context for the story beats. The gameplay may actually be the weakest part of the game, but it's still quite good. A very strategic turn based system that's built around the use of statuses and items to work around enemies' weakness and strengths. I highly recommend this to any fans of JRPGs in general! Though the dialogue is written in old english and makes lots of biblical and philosphical references that may fly over most people's heads. It might be a bit different, but that's a damn good thing.

Or Slovak Andrei Rublev (also, Antonius Block) meets Twin Peaks. After thinking about Lynch's influence on the game, I decided to check out Vlado Ganaj's social media and found him stating this in a post. I like the intertextual dialogue it creates between historical context, dark medieval fantasy, and Twin Peaks. I also find the way they adapted the script to "Old English" remarkable, because without my expert knowledge of it, much can be intuited from context, unlike the pure English of that era (see Shakespeare). The gameplay reminded me a lot of "Lisa the Painful," so if you liked that game, I highly recommend this one. Great humor and soundtrack too. Nothing but respect and admiration for the creators. I hope seeing more games like this, with so much personality.
