Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

sometime, quest flag bugs make you stuck. longest playtime but most time filled in bored walking time. dungeons it had own concept but each concept had no exploring pleasure but only pain. battle is not fun. because there no tactic. it feels like playing hack and slash without active skill. and VATS bugs blowout some tactics too. but exploding enemy make everlasting pleasure. level is too much but sawyer mod solved it. and yes, back then it was very cool game, top rated rpg. but now, more interesting rpg comes out. it mean no good old now.

Another weak and overrated Obsidian release. By the time you hit the Strip, you're subsequently hit by an "Is this it?", as the game grinds to a halt. The factions are ridiculously lopsided - the NCR gets all the quests and involvement, while the other factions get jack. The representation of the Brotherhood begins and ends in a single underground bunker. The Khans and Caesar's Legion are even more underdeveloped. And while the game may try to sell you the idea of factions in conflict, it's not actually what you'll ever experience. You always feel like you're out for yourself. RPG-wise this game also suffers from the awful Bethesda-style "Eventually you'll get everything anyway, so who cares." All checks, all requirements, all uniqueness is eventually obliterated within a single playthrough. And as with most Bethesda games, there aren't any obstacles to overcome, nothing that requires knowledge or thought. The world isn't meant to provide you with that; it's meant just to simply spend time in. The game also doesn't have any sort of visual flair. The Strip is disappointing and unconvincing, while the rest of the world lacks the more impressive architecture and environmental design from Fallout 3. Everything is empty and everything is yellow. Combined with the fact that tons of assets were copied over straight from Fallout 3, this is about the most artistically bankrupt game I've ever played. Gunplay, stealth, inventory management and loot, character building; all the gameplay elements are weak here. They were so in Fallout 3, and ofcourse Obsidian did nothing to change that. Simply having fun is always a tough task in any Obsidian game because of this persistent problem they have with their games. They can do writing - at times. They don't do gameplay, and they don't do fun. The game also crashes a lot.

Yeah it seems cool

Among my favorite games are 1990s classics – I'd say I'm pretty tolerant towards old stuff. However I've played 10 hours of the hallowed New Vegas now and can't recommend it. After those hours, I'm still not sure what the parties and conflicts of the game's world are and the main plot is moving painfully slow. I understand that games like this can't unpack the entire lore at once, but for a game that is often called one of the best RPGs, there haven't been a lot of interesting RPing possibilities going on in my playtime. There are frequent troubles with understanding where on earth you have to go, as the general level design/ segment design is atrocious at times. Especially the "inside" segments (cities, settlements, buildings) are WAY too stretched out and sometimes constructed of several little maps with confusing loading zones between them. The clunky movement and slow walking speed make it absolutely tedious to just snoop around until you found that one NPC or door that blended into the game's orange-brownish environment. Sometimes you also won't find the NPC because it isn't the right time of day, so have fun guessing wether to wait around or to search somewhere else. Having said that, I'll also have to adress that New Vegas looks awful. I guess that in 2010, Open World games had to make a lot of visual compromises, but New Vegas' looks very samey and uninteresting. This isn't a problem of technical capabilities but of art direction.

The title says it all ..., also feels les like an fallout like any game before, rather play Fallout 4 with mods or once more Fallout 3.
