Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

Best RPG ever, best DLCs ever as well (included) - so good it's hard to point the best (but probably Old World Blues for its sense of humour and nostalgia). Maybe the most modded game with the exception of Skyrim. Played it to death again and again. Main drawbacks being it's way too short :D, it doesn't take into account that the player will want to do everything in the world (which causes him/her to become to level up too powerful too fast unless you mod the game to slow levelling up). With the exception of the newest Wasteland (which is a completely different RPG) there isn't anything that molds itself around the player's decisions so deeply. Stop reading reviews, go play it! I suggest a boycott of Bethesda unless they let Obsidian dev New Vegas II.

Comment dire, je n'ai jamais vu un jeu avec un univers aussi développé et avec autant de possibilités et d’interactions entre les MULTIPLES quêtes disponibles. Fallout 3 était déjà excellent mais New vegas le dépasse de loin par son scénario, son monde d'une richesse incroyable, ses différents ambiances en fonctions des univers et son côté bac-à-sable incroyablement vaste et proposant énormément de finalités différentes. Un seul défaut pour ce jeu... il risque de vous garder captivé de nombreuses heures.

i keep hearing about this being the best game ever. even now a decade on and with so many effusively praised games having come and gone in the meantime. but yeah its true. i have completed it every which way (including a stomach churning evil run working for ceasar) and it still makes me smile to boot it up. except dead money which i know everyone else seems to love. i wont even go into how i love playing with the toolset. if you dont have it this is definitely something to want even for a buddhist.

The controls and graphics aren't as nice as Fallout 4, but the story and pretty much everything not directly related to gameplay is much better. Having come from Fallout 3/4 - the first gang of "bandits" I encountered I immediately just started to murder indiscriminately: that's what you do in Fallout. Turns out, these bandits had their own town and I could have interacted with them in more interesting ways. Fortunately, this was a lesson learned, and the various game factions, no matter how seemingly evil and potentially initially hostile, are actually interactive, and have their own tales to tell. This makes for a much deeper game experience and makes everything feel like it has a *point*. By contrast, everything in Fallout 4 felt like busywork: I built my followers a whole town, but now what? They barely even pretend to be happy about it. Why did I do this thing? In New Vegas, you do a thing for faction X, and it pisses off faction Y. You may be asked to *wipe out* faction Y, and you can do that thing. Or maybe you can broker a deal. Anyhow, tl;dr; if you like to play these games for the immersion, this is the best of the bunch.
