Love and Hate
I realy love the atmosphere of this game. It captures the gritty malign nature of dungeons perfectyl, they scare us and still drive us to dwell deeper and deeper - like old school rpgs (like eye of the beholder) or Diablo (1!) did back in the day. However the most unique thing in the game, the physics based combat, is also the thing i struggle the most with and totaly devalues the game for me.

Great game, worth the buy!
I've been playing Exanima for a few years now and I still haven't found a game that comes even close to the adrenaline rush I get when playing this. Exanima has truely become a wonderfull game with a great experience when playing it, a bit tough at first but that's just the game not holding your hand or pulling any punches. Updates were slow at first, that was just them hard at work, but are much more frequent now with a weekly forum post on there website informing everyone on the games development. In the end I have found many hours of great fun while playing this game. I couldn't recomend this game more highly then I already do. Enjoy

Could be kinda fun
So, the main point of this game is the combat system. This is an interesting concept of bringing "ragdoll masters" idea into a topview format. Well, somewhy devs decided that their concept is "realistic" and that they need to build the rest of the "game" in the same manner. Well, it looks like they don't know that in real life real people don't move like broken puppets, so they made the campaign mode about ultra-hardcore dungeon crawling with lots of artificial restrains that are supposed to be "realistic". So, if you like that sort of punishing gameplay, you can play it. If you are not the submissive kind of person, you can check out training mode to play with combat system and then check out local arena if you like to swing your mouse in this game. P.S. Whoever designed the labyrinth on the first level of dungeon — do you really expect people to pass it by themselves knowing that any error will be the end of the game, and to accept an average random loot in the end to be adequate reward?

Best atmospheric isometric out there
I have been looking for such a game for a while now. A diablo 1 ish game with a rich atmosphere where you are afraid of moving on. It feels fresh in all its detail and advanced combat system. As it stands now it is totally worth the money. But I am very excited for its future as well since it is an ambitious project which will add a whole lot of new and complex features . Excited about AI, dialogue, thaumaturgy and of course an open world (in the "main game" Sui Generis)
