PERFECT CLASSIC GEM!
Im from a time where I played a little of Ceaser 3, Zeus and a lot Pharaoh. Those where great times and still is because a I love this games so muuuuuch! Still, I din't know about the existence of this game and is absoluty stunning! Perfect gameplay as I am used with other tittles! This is really a "PERFECT CLASSIC GEM"!

Love it
I found this game 2002 on a magazine CD - the complete tutorial. Then I bought the disk and played it until I switched to iMac in 2007. Then I learned how to install Windows XP on the iMac using bootcamp and went on playing Emperor until Microsoft did something to block XP - I was very sad. Joy, joy, joy with GOG wineskin I have it back on my iMac. And it is even more comfortable because one does not have to insert a disk every time one want's to play it. The fascinating thing is that this game is so rich in variations that it never becomes boring and after 15 years of continuous use there are still lots of possibilities I have not tried yet. It is creative, constructive and besides from some small skirmishes not at all bloodthirsty. But it teaches a lot about Chinese history and culture which isn't bad to know. Thank you for not allowing this game to disappear.

Best city-builder ever
I've been wating SO long for this to finally arrive on GOG! Building an Ancient Chinese city is both beautiful and surprisingly educational (like a lot of the Sierra city-building titles), and it combines all the good parts of Pharaoh and Zeus and just makes it SO much better and easy to use. By far the most fun city-building game I've ever played.

My first time
This was my introduction to strategy and city-builder games. As well to ancient Chinese culture. And boy was it a experience, never not even now has this game bored me and it still challenges me. Ever since this game I've being interested in the genre and also got me into history. The impact this game has had on my life is very significant. This game is a classic!

The Greatest City Builder of All Time
Emperor is the best of all the Impressions city building series. So excited to see this on GoG. There are so many quality of life improvements here drawn from their experience with the previous games that, for me, it makes it hard to play and enjoy the older ones except as a nostalgia trip. If you enjoy this genre at all, you need to play Emperor.
