Dungeons of Edera

1. NPC companions? Yes, as if inspired from Dragon's Dogma 1. It's AMAZING. When you get your starter companion, protect him. Even though he's cheap, he's worth keeping alive in the dungeons you select from the billboard of requests. The 'shared stash' where you can keep your loot fits perfectly into this gameplay style. 3. The graphics/sound/voice acting? They're on par for a AA game, I have no visual/audial complaints about it at all. Emersive. 2. Plenty of loot? Yes, yes, and YES. Inspired by Dungeon Siege, or Borderlands. Loot is quite exciting to come across. 3. Combat mechanics? Have you played Hand of Fate 2? This game offers the same style of [jump in and meet the new challenging wave of enemies]. Keep in mind, they're not searching for you--you are searching for them...with a slight tactical vigor. It is designed to simply challenge you to watch the enemy, know your weapon's reach, use ranged bow/magic as a 'surprise attack' mechanic. Use your skills wisely, and don't just bum-rush a bunch of adversaries unless you know you're capable. 4. The AI is not great, but does the job well enough to entertain and challenge you; the enemies can be quite a challenge, so don't think the game is too easy. 5. Story? Don't worry about it. This is a dungeon crawl in large, open-world environments, as well as fascinating dungeons/caves/pathways. Sometimes the 'dungeons' are repetitive, but that should be overlooked. Each land you warp to is a fantastic environmental feast. 6. Controls? I think they're perfect. The use of Shift-Space combo and [minimally] one or two other combo key bindings fit right into the gameplay design, and allow for enough control over the character to traverse wisely across the lands without faulter. I've seen reviews/complaints about the controls...don't worry about it. There's a reason the Spacebar has multiple uses, and I consider the controls to be expertly designed.

Je m'attendais pas a cette qualité, bien sûr il y a encore des améliorations a apporter, des animations a peaufiner...bref il a peu être mieux :D (monsieur plus ;-) ). Les graphismes sont très très correctes, la musique bien sans plus. A suivre pour voir les futures évolutions...si il y en a (c'est malheureusement assez fréquent maintenant). 10€ pour ce jeu c'est plus qu'honnête ! A vous de jouer ;-)

I really enjoyed playing DoE because it's easy to handle and really fun to play. You don't have to think a lot while exploring the instances and just concentrate on the action. The renewable experience of each mission is quite satisfying.

A good game, though is very slow to start off with and combat is not as fluid as it could be. There chained attacks can stun lock you in to a failure. Also, some special attacks from NPC's do not telegraph long enough for you to react. Taking this into account they game is great to veg out to listening to a pod cast. The graphics are good, but the pop in is a little jarring. Also the frame rate stuttering is enough to put a few off. I weould recommend only if on a sale of £5 or less.
