Diablo + Hellfire

This is the best patched version of Diablo available. Here's how to get Hellfire working BUT it requires an original Diablo CD or ISO. 1. Install  GOG Diablo to a folder outside Program Files (C:\GOGDiablo for example) 2. Install Hellfire to its default location (C:\SIERRA\HELLFIRE 3. Copy the contents of the HELLFIRE folder to your GOG Diablo folder - DO NOT OVERWRITE the GOG Diablo files. 4. Insert or mount your original Diablo CD or ISO 5. Run Hellfire.exe from your GOG Diablo folder

.....get the Hell mod after you buy it. Improves the game by about 1000%. Mordor still working on the Hell 2 as well. Guessing will be done in the next year. More classes, tons of more uniques, more quests, and a shared stash. Not to mention more character classes. The Hell2 is going to have a boatload of more classes. And, multiplayer is also awesome in all versions of Diablo 1.

So many haters here moaning about lack of any real development on D3/D4. This is an awesome game, and like many other games from my youth, its nice to revisit them without the hastle of trying to get them to work on a new rig. Thank you Blizzard for teaming up with GOG, and thank you GOG for allowing me to play these games again, and catch up on ones I couldnt afford as a kid!

yeah it is an old game it's from 1996. What do you expect? Todays graphics and capabilities 23 YEARS later? it is't the point how combat is, how smooth it may or may not be. its the fact that this was a game that kicked off a fun franchise that anyone can play. Whining about how "clunky the combat is" is pointless and just stupid. Enjoy the nestalga that this is bringing you. Not he whining that the rest of the reviewers are bringing.

Was sucked for many hours when I was a toddler. Well same for now. Missed diablo1 much, 10/10 no doubt. Only lack hellfire expansion pack, still one of the most iconic game tho.
