The game has more cons than pros
The plot arc of the Deus Ex (PC, 2000) is closed in this second part. The game tries to simplify and correct many of the first game faults related to the GUI (which frankly was complex unnecessarily), however they overdid. By example, the ammunitions have a universal ammo, and the biomods and skills are placed together only as biomods, by otherwise when you need to remove a physical or electronic lock, you only need to be closed for using the item, without need of changing items (useful as you will do it many times). The combat mechanics, based on the first game, are now feeling as an action game, even the most dangerous enemies are easy to destroy without being damaged. Also, is impossible ending the game without killing, e.g. the elite enemies will explode as soon they are killed or left unconscious. The game tries to preserver the fundamentals aspects of the first part, as the gossip between the people and the immersion of the word by means of news. BUT this is the weakest point of this game. The voice work is awful, killing all the immersion. The game plot is not bad, though is a little strange due that EIDOS chosen that the 3 possible endings of Deus Ex are cannon. As result, the world is in a strange state and there are some inconsistency, however the twists and the development of the history inside of the game are decent.
