While some of the big criticisms that people had with the original version of the game still stand, Deadlight: Director's Cut still feels like a fresh take on the zombie genre 4 years later. It probably isn't worth a return trip if you've already played the original game, but if this is your first time checking out the Deadlight world then this version is definitely the one to get.

Deadlight: Director's Cut looks fantastic and has a very intriguing storyline. Its platforming puzzles are also generally really enjoyable to solve. However, a few annoying gameplay flaws, occasionally awkward controls, and very short running time really take the edge off the experience, and ultimately the game falls short of its considerable potential.

Not very good

Deadlight had a lot of potential but fell short mostly due to technical issues. Clunky animations and a lot bugs including game breaking ones. And this is in Director's cut version published 4 years after initial release. Cutscenes are fine, but the plot itself is terrible, full of deus ex machina and situations that just do not make any sense. Visuals are good, backgrounds are even great. Action felt really satisfying from time to time despite poor animation.

Surpris!

Surpris ,je ressens une immense sympathie pour ce jeu . La musique du jeu sublime (je suis rester à l'écouter plusieurs minutes alors que c'est la musique du menu). Le jeu en lui-même est très beau) ... un conseil ne me lisez pas courez jouer à ce jeu... une pépite et une magnifique surprise . Enorme coup de coeur je le conseil!

Fun cinematic platformer with atmosferic visuals but way too many bugs (especially considering this is Director's Cut) drag experience down.

Good, but not that good.

I don't know why, but everytime I died, the GOG Launcher close on it's own and doesn't track my Time of Play & Progress. It says 11 Minutes, but I played this game for STRAIGHT TWO HOURS! And odd theory, is that if I died, the game won't track my progress, which is funny. Still, It's a decent game, but this issue is just weird.
