BUGBUGBUG! Dead State - The Alpha Beta

This game got a lot of potential and could be enjoyable if it wasn't for the bugs! Seriously guys, I'm wondering if the devs even tried their own game before selling it. I would be ashame of myself if I was them. It's like selling a car with no wheels and no engine. You've got the frame, it looks nice but damn, it's not working! It's like selling a half-finished product. You've got to save every 5 seconds only to protect you from possible occuring bugs. There is so many, I would need a book to write them all down. There is areas you just have to avoid because of that. A lot of quests you cannot complete also. If you want my advice, don't buy this game. This is a perfect example of people who were too much in a hurry to rushed a game on the market. I find this completly ridiculous. It's very sad because you could really enjoy the game if it wasn't for that. There is a lot of work still to be done before this game reach the point of decency.

Jeu de survie

Dead State est un jeu assez novateur, car il mélange habilement survie, gestion d'abri et de ressources (dont humaines), relations humains (moral, notamment), exploration, et combats au tour par tour. L'idée de base est donc excellente. Le début du jeu est fidèle aux attentes. Je me suis éclaté comme un petit fou avec mon "Redd Grimes", alter ego du héros de Walking Dead. Les rencontres avec les zombis étaient stressantes, celles avec les humains hostiles risquées, et celles avec les autres (gentils) survivants pleines d'émotion. Puis... les heures passent, et chaque jour ressemble au précédent. Vient inévitablement l'ennui dû à la répétitivé des choses. Se lever. Programmer les tâches. Aller explorer. Vider la carte. Ramener les ressources. Recommencer. Même si quelques évènements viennent ponctuer l'aventure, ils restent trop rares et ont peu d'impact. Ce qui m'a surtout gêné, c'est la facilité du jeu. Comment avoir peur des zombis ? Je n'ai jamais eu aucun infecté, et il suffit d'une armure correcte pour absorber tous les chocs des morsures. La nourriture ne sera finalement pas un problème non plus, tant elle abonde ! Cependant la version "reanimated" vient ré-équilibrer ça. Je recommande quand même le jeu, qui m'a fait passer un bon moment, mais au bout de 50-70 heures, il s'essouffle.

Disappointed

I was expecting Jagged Alliance 2, but its not even close to being that good combat wise. I liked the concept of the game but combat falls short in a hurry.

Bad

Bad, broken game. I have had characters miss 100% chance hits and miss 3 back to back 90% hits. The game is just so arbitrary with its combat that it makes it unplayable. There is no skill and no tactics involved. Just sheer dumb luck whether or not the character will actually make a hit. Your enemy's always get the first attack, no matter if you attacked first or saw them first. There is just absolutely no way to play this game with any semblance of skill. If I wanted a game of pure chance I'd go to a casino. Uninstalled.

Overall happy with it

This game has held my attention for the past week. In my book that's a good game. The story is good and keeps you driving forward. The artwork is pleasant, with just enough left to the imagination to be engaging. The combat is fairly old school turn based feel. The allies are all fairly different and fill a niche. I haven't run into any major bugs, so I guess they fixed those. The only star I would drop is the price point, but you see this game go on sale enough that shouldn't be an issue.
