Good but not good enough...
It's not the worst one out there, but not the best one either. Devs decided to ditch Hack & Slash and opt for Soul-like game play. That’s OK. But, playing as Fury now feels very underwhelming: 1. She cannot break enemies’ guard, whereas enemies can block 100% damage from her; 2. She cannot even outrun a crawling bug, whereas enemies can launch themselves several meters in a single strike; 3. Her dodge is sluggish and short (an old fat monkey with Ebola can dodge better than her), combined with confusing enemy telegraphs (Surprise! The flash you saw is not when you should dodge), it makes dodging an unreliable defense (and it’s your only defense mechanism); 4. Any attack (a bug bite) can stop Fury in her tracks, but enemies have hyper-armor, therefore combo = suicide (maybe make the staggers based on weapon rank or damage dealt, so upgraded weapons will stun tougher enemies); 5. Consumables have a shared cooldown, so you cannot use multiple buffs and using small health crystal becomes a liability (just give them independent CD); 6. The lock-on and camera (FoV) are so bad, Fury can block your view during a combo or heal and let enemy hit you from an unpredictable angle. With fighting skills suppressing perhaps only my grandma, she wants to be the leader of the four horsemen! Yeah, fat chance. You don’t even have a horse! The campaign setting, the voice acting, the environment, and pacing are good, but please fix the combat system, it’s the blood and soul of this kind of game.
