Very addictive

It has its flaws but i love it. First 2 hours was frustrating, but when you get your first upgrade learn how to play, game starts to incredibly awesome. I understand someone can give 7/10 but lower its a crime. I started to like this game even more than previous games. The only bad thing that sometimes frustrates me is camera. +great exploration +highly addictive +graphic (art) +music +fury have character +exploration. +sucks you in +rewarding +makes you look in upgrade system and items +clever map design -camera !!! -you have to learn how to play otherwise you get frustrated. -its not fo casual players, you just cant ignore upgrade system or items last word: If you want to play this game 30-60min from time to time better ignore it, because this game needs a chance to open to you. Thats the reason why someone rate this game so low

This game...

... and the developers deserve all the bashing they take. Where do I start? The game is a mess: Pros: -Furyis a nice character, and the voice acting is good. Also some puzzles are nice and the levels are okish. Cons: -30fps at full hd. Seriously??? -The camera is a mess -The DLCs are not worth a damn -The game tries to integrate Dark Souls elements and yet it fails miserably in almost every way. On top of that it sells itself as a Darksiders game instead of a darksouls and thus misleading long and faithful fans of the series. The thing is, it's not a good soulsborne game at all. And I've finished all of them. -The boss designs are awful. -You die after 1-2-3 hits -You can't break the defenses of an enemy unless you charge attack, but if you do he will attack you and you will take damage -The game plays like this:Bait, dodge, counter attack, repeat. -Since they were so fixated with Darksouls, at least they could have used the firelink mechanics where you fill your flasks and you regen your health. But no.... you have to die in order for that to happen. Or spent 250 souls to replentish one. -Boring powers -The Bosses suck. Nothing to see there. They are easy. It takes like 3-5 tries at most for each one. But they feel uninspired. There is nothing cool about any of it. -The concept that you play an all mighty horseman of the apocalypse who is killed by a skelenton in 3 hits is contradictory The developers in a completely dishonest way used the Darksiders ip , decieved the fanbase into buying their game. If I wanted to play a soulsborne title I would play Darksouls or Sekiro which are both excellent games. Those games deserve their money and praise. Also, the game is not optimized for PC, and the design is awful as I explained. After this fiasco, I won't be buying another game from them.

A Successful Change of Pace

I really enjoyed this game. The vibes of the world keeps the Darksiders feel, the story is interesting, and Fury as a character is fun and interesting. Everyone complaining that it "plays more like Dark Souls and less like Darksiders", I feel that something needs to be established. Every Darksiders game has a different feel and gameplay style to the last, and I think this works for this franchise. Each horseman has their distinct combat style which defined also how the game as a whole is designed /played. War was slow and played like A God of War character. Death was zippy and moved more like a Prince of Persia character. And now Fury is a slower, more fragile character who handles more like Dark Souls. Yes, it's a change of gameplay style, but Darksiders reinvents its gameplay style with every new release, and I welcome that! The game plays well, is interesting and challenging. If you want to see more of the Darksiders story well, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Tough Game to Review, but Good

Let me Start with the idea that, after everything was said and done and I had beaten the game, I liked it. I have many criticisms of the game, but let me start with what I really liked. I beat it in just under 18 hours and unlocked 70% of the trophies. What I liked: - Lore - I think the thing I liked the most was the continuation of the lore in the game. It was pretty compelling if you want to see the continuuation of the Darksiders Story. - Art Design - I also appreciated how they continued the art style of the game that was started by Joe Mad. - The Map - The map was really well done. It was packed with little nooks and crannies you could find things in, ways that circled back onto areas you have been to, and it was just abotu perfect for the type of game they were making. I actually liked it better than the previous games maps. What I'm critical of: - Leveling - I get what they were going for but I they didn't get there. There is only 3 stats which doesn't change much about how you play. You will likely throw the lions share into Strength, followed by Health, then as you get better at perfect dodging you are forced to drop points in Arcane. Also, by not putting a lot of points in Arcane makes the Chaos form useless. - Frustrating bosses - Some bosses just felt kind of cheap. Some were great and interesting though. It would also have you watch the cinematic each time for some bosses (but it was at least skippable) - Frustrating Enemy Encounters - Many times I ended up surrounded by enemies and you can easily get stuck in a stun locked state as the enemies take turns attacking. More than once I was killed without ever having the ability to do anything about it. - Combat - This is really hit or miss. Due to the leveling system, nothing really changes as you play. I found myself just relying on the whip unless I had to use an alternate weapon for something.
