All the endings are bad,the whole vibe of the main story is a drag to the point that I don't want to go back and relive it to make different choices because I swear to god that if I have to play the Kompeki heist another time I could go insane.
The core game is good,the whole mercanary part is fun and proper "cyberpunk" it would be great if some modder managed to cutt all the fat of the main story out of the game.

I bought the Ultimate Edition recently (base game + DLC) so I wasn't around during the terrible launch and subsequent updates. I read enough to know that a lot of improvements were made and the game was in a completely playable state.
After playing for a few hours, I kind of regretted my purchase. I'm not a huge fan of FPS games (I know, I know, why would I buy an FPS if I don't like them?) Well, I enjoyed other shooter/RPG games I played in the past like the Mass Effect series so I decided to give this a try.
I'm glad I soldiered through and kept playing because the game has really grown on me. I find the characters to be well-written and realistic, the story and missions to be engaging, and Night City to be a lot of fun to explore.
There are only a couple of things that knock it down from a 5 to a 4 for me. First, I find Keanu Reeves to be irritating and the weakest among the voice cast, which is a shame because he has the most dialogue apart from the player him or herself. And second, I really would have loved a third person mode (apart from driving.) I know there is at least 1 mod that can accomplish this, but it doesn't work very well as the designers clearly had no plans for the game to be played outside of first person.
But overall, this game is pretty cool and gets my thumbs up.
I'm tired of all the haters who give few stars just because they got cheated three years ago with an unfinished game or they have computers made by fools.
Their brains are stuck in the past and they will never recover from their hatred. The CD Projekt Red team worked every year to improve it. They washed away their sins.
This game is finished, it is the best of the cyberpunk genre, it has stills, it has the best DLC released next to Witcher 3, it has great and beloved actors, it is revised and improved year by year.
This game is five stars!!

I really liked the story and the feeling of the city.
2020/21 experience:
It was nice for the first time I only found one game breaking bug (when I drove a bugatti or any low suspensioned car and I drove trough the city like with the car in GTA that ramp car and the cars were flying everywhere) they fixed it idk when. But I still enjoyed it, with a 1050ti
2024 experience:
I got a new GPU (2060 super) and I thought I should pay a visit back to this game and it was worth it. They almost fixed every bug at least all of the major ones and I found out it got a dlc too. Only 2 bugs I found which are falling out of the map if I drive over 200mph in the city only, and in the last mission of the chapter 1 you have to lock down your fps to see anything because it will black screen to you.
Anyway I still enjoy driving trough any parts of the map and if you read this and still didn't played it just give it a try if your pc is good enough.
