Exactly the game I was goping for

The game has become exactly what I was hoping for: * A great story. With the end of act 1 the story started to unfold it potential and became really thrilling * A beautiful world in a futuristic setting. Honestly Night City is looking so great and detailed. In one dialog scene I was setting in a diner and I couldn't stop looking around. The main characters look unique and detailed as well. * FPS elements. I think the gun play is quite fun, especially compared to other RPG focused games. What I really started to like is the way you can shoot from a cover, after I got used to it. It feels very natural and dynamic. What the game is not: * A full-blown RPG. It has RPG elements but the focus is clearly on the story telling. In this way the game is similar to Witcher 3. * Bug free. The game clearly has some issues. But it's by far not unplayable. In 13 hours I experienced one crash a few bugs and glitches, but never in a way, that they took away the fun. I've seen games doing worse on their release. * GTA. You can not interact with everything in the world. Again the focus is on the story telling. The one thing I want to criticize is the police system. They seem to spawn next to you, as soon you do something wrong, which is super annoying. I still give 5 stars, because everything else is so overwhelming great.

Still buggy after 5 years

I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on day one, with all the hype surrounding it, thinking that CD Projekt was going to deliver a masterpiece. The result? A slap in the face, but not in a good way: bugs everywhere, crashes, quests that freeze, NPCs that freeze... in short, a half-finished game. Five years later, I thought to myself: “Well, they've had time, I'll give it another chance.” I even bought the game again on Steam with the DLC to start a new game. And then, a big shock: despite all the updates, the same problems persist. Main and side quests that become impossible to complete, scripts that don't trigger, blocked objectives... How can you enjoy a story that's supposed to be immersive if you have to pray for every mission to work? On PC, luckily you can tinker with commands or hacks to force progress. But I can't even imagine what it's like for console players: they're just stuck, with no solution. And that's unacceptable after all this time. So yes, Night City is beautiful, the atmosphere is there, but that doesn't change anything: the game is still broken, five years after its release. It's a monumental admission of failure for a studio that sold us the moon and the stars. Frankly, having to fight bugs just to advance the story is anything but normal.

Awesome story needs to improve graphics

I’ve been playing this game on PlayStation 5 and not impressed by the graphics. If they game was in the works since 2013 and took 8 years just like Red Dead Redemption 2 then shouldn’t be in this state. Plus I’ve had a few crashes within couple of hours. I have installed the update last night so will try again tonight. I know it’s early on and still time to make it better. Regarding the game story I love it and great character customisation. I’ve shared my sexy character on a group chat and unfortunately someone reported it and now I’m banned 7 days from PlayStation over seeing character dick damn. Didn’t know people are that sensitive. My gamer tag is VladTepesRomania, other games I play is just Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Division 2. See you all in the year 2077 Peace out.

A flawed yet charming experience

I love it! There's so much heart, so much soul to the game! Despite the odd bugs and glitches, I have yet to experienced anything game breaking. I'm looking forward to jumping right back in for a second or third playthrough of the game when it is polished to shine.

Fun, Flawed, Hopefully Fixable

To put it simply: Cyberpunk 2077 is a surprisingly fun experience for how buggy and messy it gets. But the exhilaration of exploring Night City is chipped by the slow realization of how shallow systems like driving AI and NPC encounters are at times, and shredded by how often the game will bug out or flat out crash. While bugs for my own gameplay were only barely impactful at the beginning of the game, I now experience multiple crashes in a short period of time while exploring the city, which absolutely dampens my enthusiasm for the game. Upon widespread fixes and patches, I'm sure I'll update this review to be more favorable, but until then I'm more impressed that I still enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 despite its bugs compared to enjoying the game because of its unique and exciting features.
