Lower your standards

My day is ruined and my disapointment is immeasurable. but... life goes on. All those features that we wished for are not there. There is no real complex rpg system, the ai is really bad and the whole big city is honestly pretty empty of substatial content. even your stret cred is worthless outside of abstractly unlocking shops inventory. As a single payer rpg like god of war it works. As a story driven super CoD sim it works. As what CD project red claimed, it Doesnt work. Play through it, do the main story. its great writing. do some of the more intersting side quests and fight some bad guys along the way. the. move on. As game making technology and the average experience gets better passivly thanks to human nature. Then its fun and works. and there will be a better game to drift towards. soner or later. You can easily use your immagination to fill in the blanks while you patiently wait for game devs to keep working towards that better game. forever. I look forward to seeing what CD Project red do with cyberpunk and if your suing them your an a**hole, They need all their money so they can spend more on finishing this game. Bloodlines is still the best rpg experience. FIGHT ME

If you liked Witcher 3 you'll like this

You've seen it all already. The game is buggy, campaign is a short, dialogue options aren't super intricate. Even so, this is one of the most memorable games because of the setting and the crazy places that allows the story to go. The biggest reason to wait is because of the bugs but tbh the PC version is in decent shape (if it weren’t for COVID I’d be pissed). Whilst I encountered one or two that forced a reload, the rest were simply weird things that should be simple to sort. If you’re really worried about these then wait, based on their track record they will fix the issues but of course that’s yet to have materialised as of writing this. I’ll try update this once that happens (likely when expansions come out). The campaign is much shorter than the Witcher 3 but tbh I’m happy for it. I don't have too much time these days to devote ~80 hrs to one game (how long the Witcher took me) so 40 hrs to complete is nice and makes it more feasible to replay in the future. imo, the campaign is short because there are quite a few story related side missions revolving around other story characters once they drop out of the main campaign. They did this bit quite well because they’ll naturally drop out but you can still do missions for them. There are also loads of side missions that tell their own unique story about life in this terrifying future and you never really know when a mission will have some insane twist that will really make you think. If you are still concerned by the length, then wait for the expansions to come out. I think the point that people really don't like are the dialogue options not really changing the course of the narrative that much and this is completely fair criticism. The only things your choices really impact are standalone side missions and they also change how much a character likes you and that could increase the amount of side missions that character has for you (don't know that for sure but based on the missions it would make sense).

Great game!

I just finished the game and done almost all major sub quests (except fighting with your hands and racing that i consider them boring) and I have to admit it is a real masterpiece. Sure it has bugs, sure it has issues but the story, the acting, the immersion is incredible. It barely worked at 30 fps on my AMD 3600 with GTX 1060 but just after the 1.06 patch it jumped to around 35 with everything at ultra/high and the experience was jaw dropping. I tried also as an alternative the GForce Now service and with RTX at ultra went to 60 frames constant and it was amazing. I felt like inside the city. I really "felt" the pain of V in the last moments, I felt his suffering, his fears and worries. It is trully a great game. Wish it was longer :( Waiting for DLC's now !

A great story and deep world

I read people get bad performance with the game. On my side with a GTX970 + Ryzen 3700X game run smoothly at medium settings. I don't care if i get or not 60fps, is this really important in the end??? The story is excellent and the choices are sufficient so I'm driven throught a spendid world and a very immersive story. The choice of 1st person if very pleasant from my point of view especialy during switch from game to cinamatic. You really feel when your character feels bad and fall on the ground :) It such amazing going in this city and understanding the preview of a futuristic workd dominated by corporation! There is bugs from time to time, but man, you can just walk in full city (!). This is not a planar city, this is a real city with different levels, atmospheres, mindblowing. People complain about NPC? Just look at them, some walk on the road with 2 complete robotic arms, some are completely cybernetic one, just look and act as in real life, just move on along the roads and follow your path :) Just take it as a great game with an excellent story. If I had to enlight a bad point ot the game: - Selling weapon is not interesting, I think a bit a tuning there to make crafting/selling weapons would be more interesting. I can bring tons of weapons (up to 25 I think) and because of that the selling them is uninteresting. For example, I would be ok to be able to bring only 3 or 4 weapons if selling them would be reasonnable instead of buying price divieded by 50 :) Just enjoy a game as cyberpunk story and you'll be really pleased by the deep story and environment.

Captivating with some flaws

Yes, there are bugs. Most of them are not dramatic. I think the game's flaws are misrepresented online. One bug I encountered was frustrating, so make enough savegames. The atmosphere is captivating. The story is great. Soundtrack is a banger. I have not yet explored all the coices and their effects, but I can clearly see different layers in story design and writing. The builds you can go for are fun. Characters are well written. I don't like the looting system, because I can constantly replace my gear for something better, even though I just spent some good money on it. Loot and shoot RPG with amazing story and atmosphere.
