Cold Fear
Description
Tom Hansen is just another guy in the U.S. Coast Guard when his crew receives a mysterious order to undertake a hazardous rescue mission in the teeth of a winter storm. As the waves surge higher, Tom and his crewmates find the vessel, an abandoned Russian whaling ship.
They board it, but discover that the ship has only been abandoned by human life. Something else is on board, something deadly, and soon Hansen is the only one left who can stop it.
Joining forces with the only other survivor, Hansen must battle the inhuman menace and seek out its very heart for a confrontation that could have consequences for all of humanity.

Good survival horror game
While Cold Fear has been looked at as RE4 clone, it was surprisingly released only a couple of months after. Sure, it's not the same quality as RE4, but it was still a good game and had some cool features like moving and shooting before RE4. Too bad it didn't do well enough for a second game. This review is more of a comparison to the retail/Steam version, which I own as well. From the start of booting up the GOG version, I noticed some things were different from the other versions. The game automatically recognizes my Xbox One Bluetooth wireless controller. Was already supporting my widescreen resolution. The Shadow issue has been fixed now. In-game videos seem to be all widescreen now. The GOG version looked a little better. One maybe negative thing I did notice. Maybe I'm just crazy, but it looks like the start menu screen is slower for the GOG version. Also, performance was the same for me on all versions. For me, this is a good update done by GOG and the best version to play right now.

Great horror gem with a new lease on lif
Its honestly great to see an updated version of this game. I have it on Steam but this is the best version I've played between console and PC. Amust have if you love old horror games
