Cold Fear

Thank you GOG, I have wanted to replay this game for a very long time! The game is very atmospheric. Visuals and audio are really good. Overall it gives a vibe of Resident Evil clone. But unlike RE there is no inventory management, just shoot them up. The ship sequence is very unique, the way waves are rocking it left and right. It's not very long and on Normal difficulty it's really easy to play and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended and again thank you GOG !!!

Cold Fear really takes me back. I played it quite a bit on the PS2 and PC, and I loved it! The game is survival horror. You're a coast guard officer investigating a Russian ship, trying to uncover a deadly weapon conspiracy. The game plays out like the older Resident Evil games, tank controls and all. It's good to see it on GOG where it belongs.

usually im not a fan of game with this type of camera buttt im enjoying it a lot

I played this game on release all those years ago and loved the atmosphere, every now and then when searching some old game to play it would come to my mind but I couldn't remember the name or enough detail about the characters/story to find it in any searches. Then today it popped up in my GOG suggestions list and wow did it all come flooding back. GOG.. another blinder, thank you. This game is aging a bit so the controls can be clunky and take a little time to get used to, the camera isn't for everybody either. But if you can hang in there you will have a good time with this game.

This game just like Obscure was a game that followed a lot of Resident evil traits, but at the same time (just like Obscure) tried to evolve the original formular. The way you aim reminds of old tank controls, but you can actually move your gun around to aim kind of over the shoulder. Something RE4 did only months earlier so there was no way they copied that idea and instead actually did something to innovate the style of RE1 remake. The graphics were outstanding and everything was 3D instead of drawn backgrounds. It had good horror with a ok story and I liked the tension the game build especially when you know there is an enemy, but you can't tell were he is coming from. Limited resources as it is common in RE Clones is fair in this game and never feels annoying. A Linux version would have been great though. Maybe that is something GOG can add?.
