Chaos Overlords

This is a game I played and replayed for endless hours. The gameplay is simplistic, but elegant. I don't remember any tutorial, but as you play (and get wrecked by the brutal AI) it's easy enough pick up the nuances as you go. Every gang has tons of character and the art is fun and weird and totally unique. The multiplayer (I hope it's not still IPX?) is fantastic too, it plays sort of like a board game but the pacing gets to be a bit slow in the endgame. Think (utterly bizarre) e-mail chess rather than party game. It's addicting and really doesn't lose anything through the probably thousands of games I played through.

A brilliant turn-based digital boardgame set in a cyberpunk world. Also comes with the best soundtrack in game history.

the game do not work. It just start a prosess what i must force quit to get rid of.

Maleureusement un jeu incompatible avec toutes les versions de windows en 64 bits même les 32 bits sous 7. Bug non corrigé pouvant bloquer totalement windaube. Malgré tout un très bon jeu dans son jus ! Qui devrait d'ailleurs être réédité une fois mis à jour voir étendu graphiquement etc...

This is a game that you can understand and master. You can drop a game and pick it up. You can understand the rules and learn what does what. It's a dark theme -- becoming the chief crimelord -- but the game mechanics (build / research / fight) are nicely balanced. AI options let you choose between builder (I play on Criminal level) or, as the screen shot says, Homicidal Maniac (a level I have not beaten)).
