1924. Le détective privé Edward Pierce est envoyé enquêter sur la mort tragique de la famille Hawkins dans leur immense demeure sur l'île reculée de Darkwater, au large des côtes de Boston. Entre le comportement hostile de la communauté et les rapports de police suspects, il devient évident que l'affaire est bien plus complexe qu'il n'y paraît. Très vite, Pierce est plongé dans un monde terrifiant de complots, de cultes fanatiques, et d'horreurs cosmiques...
Dans ce monde, rien n'est ce qu'il semble être. Votre propre santé mentale est remise sans cesse en question, bien souvent supplantée par les murmures inhumains provenant de l'obscurité. a joke compared to Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of The Earth I was kinda looking forward to this game, but it has no soul and is boring. I have played much worse games than this. But compared to Dark Corners of The Earth this is absolutely embarrassing. Buy that instead!

Five Promising Prototypes
You have to understand something when playing this one. As a cohesive whole... it's neither cohesive, nor whole. However, as a series of promising tech demos of what a good Call of Cthulhu game could be, you might get something out of it. You get to see it as an adventure game, an RPG, a stealth game, a walking sim, and even a (and I'm being very generous with this genre classification) first-person shooter. Yet none of these truly amount to a larger experience. It will be over before your know it, and you'll still not quite be sure what the point of it all was. Cyanide make good games. This isn't one of them, sadly.

Great Game Ruined by a Single Section
Im a huge original TTRPG Call of Cthulhu fan . This game does a great job of capturing the atmosphere and many of the other features I love about the mythos, but it's hampered by its stealth level. This bloody thing stumps me every time I come back to the game. It's the one sour note in an otherwise perfectly beautiful symphony of horror.

Entertaining
Well all things considered, I was entertained. The story was good and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Graphics and Gamplay was okay. Liked the fact that it bascially is a first person adventure game, with some smiple puzzels. So an okay , and in my opinion it delivered a compelling and a little cryptic story.

Good game if you are a fan of the genre
I enjoyed it, I feel like it is kind of a hybrid adventure/horror/rpg that kept me paying until I finished it. Te story was interesteing enough to keep my attenion and it had enough decision making that kept me wondering if I was choosing correctly. It is light on the RPG aspec but all in all a fun game, especially at 50%. I would recommed to any call of cthulu fans.
