Great art style, broken achievements
First off, the achievements appear to be broken and probably have been so for the past two years at least, according my friend log in GOG Galaxy, that's how long its been since anyone on my friend list has unlocked an achievement. Not a super big deal, but that's a long time to go with such a bug. The art is beautiful, but the animations are slow, and half the time you don't really even know what the items are that you're picking up due to the art style. There are no tool tips or hover text to identify highlighted objects. Still playable, but annoying since it means there's more guess clicking. The story is pretty non-existent, but the puzzles are alright. Some are fun, only a couple are annoying. Beware, the volume levels by default are way too loud and cause digital distortion due to clipping. In order to avoid this, you must turn all the levels down to at most 50%.

Great art, OK everything else
Graphics looks very interesting here. Unfortunately the game has not much to offer besides its art style. Item based puzzles are generally simple. Logic based puzzles are fine but nothing new or imaginative for anyone who knows the genre moderately well. There's a puzzle or two where you need to basically try until you find correct solution. Why this solution is correct and other not, isn't clear. Or I could simply overlook some clues. The game is also short - base game with One Night in the Woods could probably be completed in 4 hours. It's not a bad game but definitely one of these "better wait for sale".

Not great, not terrible
An interesting and qualitatively realized artistic idea. But a very short storyline and primitive quests with artificial time delay.

Not Good
The best thing about this game is the art. Some of it is kinda creepy and neat that way, but nothing outstanding. Everything else is downhill from there. The puzzles aren't very good, often confusing with no clear goal, just random trial and error. A lot of the times I found the solution and did not understand why that was the solution. Other times it's just find object on screen, and find place where that object goes on screen. It's basically a trumped up flash game. All that being said, I bought it for under $1 on sale, so I guess you get what you pay for.
