A thriller story with Pendulo's touch
I've been a longtime fan of Pendulo Studios, but skipped their last game, Blacksad. However, I was curious of this new game, and wanted to see if it was as good as before they started working with Microids. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this game. The narrative and musics are top notch and really carry the whole game through. The intrigue is great, it does not follow the plot of any movie, and if the major theme of the game is Vertigo, I'd say it uses all the movies as inspirations. You can also feel Pendulo's touch, even lightly, which reminded me of the Runaway and Yesterday games. On that regards, the last cutscene of the game is absolutely perfect ! I played it fully in French, and the dubbing is great. I guess it is thanks to Microids that we have it and it is well appreciated ! I'd say the only flaw of this game is the lengthy loading times, even on a powerful recent PC with a SSD (mostly during the hypnosis sections). Apart from that, I started playing 3 days after launch and only have encountered a minor bug, where an audio line is not playing (from what I noticed in Youtube, it is also present in the English dubbing of the game). But that didn't stop me at all from understanding everything. I just hope it sells enough so the studio (and Microids) continue to create great games like that. Really give it a try if you are hesitating (also it is not terribly expensive, and it took me about 12h taking my time).
