So, besides the bugs, I've noticed a few clip scenes aren't here, clips that I remember.

I thought I had just accidentally clicked a button which sped through them, until I actually finished the Conservatory. Upon returning I clicked on the elemental symbol to witness how the witch teacher got killed... much to my surprise the VIDEO which was displayed showed her taking a 4 second "deep breath while backing away from her attacker" then it immediately cut away.

I actually have Zork Nemesis on CDs and while I can't play it I can view the videos - now I'd have to check it again, because it's been since December when I watched the clips, but I'm pretty sure she was strangled. Even if it wasn't strangulation I know it shows her getting killed by the Nemesis.

This video does not end "normally" where GoG's version of Nemesis ends.

So I have to question whether or not this game is either so buggy that the video sequences aren't loading properly or because it showed a strangulation/murder of a female character that her death was "censored" and cut out of the video.

Edit: ok yeah this is really weird. You do get to see Sophia strangled in a later cut scene, but that one cut scene where she goes AH AH NO! cuts way too short. I wonder if there's some discrepancy with the game files. I am starting to think that there's a goofup in what you were given.

I'm especially thinking that this may be the case - that you guys were given the original release files - because after beating the game the game quits to dos. The version I have would return you to the title screen.

I really would appreciate it if you guys at GoG would bring this up to activision and request the fully updated files.

I know this is reviving a REALLY old thread, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I had Zork Nemesis back on Windows 95, and played it NUMEROUS times. Then, when I replayed it this evening, I immediately noticed something seemed off about the short flashback supposedly depicting Madame Sophia's death scene. I VERY clearly remembered it being either strangulation or broken neck, and when the video cut, I was confused. Thought maybe the game glitched, so I kept going. Toward the end, when the full scene depicting the deaths of the alchemists played, I noticed the specific closeup of Sophia going down was missing.

I've played this game too many times for that to go unnoticed. I also wonder where that edit came from. I understand if they didn't want to depict that level of violence to a female character, but come on...
