glambert159: Hello , Just install and starting to play Zork: Grand Inquisitor . At the begening i try to pick up the lantern in the Store. I enter the store, walk to the counter and after my screen goes black. I can still see the cursor but there is nothinf i can do . Is there a fix for that ? Thanks . I am on Windows 11 .
zandrag: You can try updating the version of Scummvm in the GoG Zork game folder. I think it comes with 2.0.0, Version 2.9.1 is the latest.

I also have the black screen bug. I downloaded scummvm and copied the latest version / its resources into the scummvm folder for ZGI and ran it. I can see the higher-res graphics (great!), get into the game, and get the black screen as soon as I walk into the lantern store. Updating has not helped. seems like

Replay the game to the point where you first present the lantern and then do not touch anything or move the mouse. wait until the game resumes. then play through until you get back to the store. Should play from there ok.
