Hi everyone,

I am in the middle of the Troyan war and built Achilles' Hall so he can beat a monster.

I fulfilled all his requests and sent for him. It changed to 'Achilles is travelling to your city'.

But he is not showing up.

Any idea what could be the problem?

THANKS!
realistically i think the most likely cause is it bugged out >= 3

:P ive never encountered this before but i have encountered an issue where gods couldnt properly spawn in so it might be the same issue. i have no fix for this, i dont even know how it fixed itself last time as reinstalling didnt fix it and just started working after a few months of not playing.

how long have you been waiting for him to arrive at the city and is his hero home still functioning? if it was destroyed and somehow you didnt notice when you went to make this post could have done it.

standard bug fixing :D
reinstall it, use alternative downloader from gog, uninstall and delete %appdata% files(specifically the game's files not appdata), check for user/unofficial updates and/or mods that might fix it. curse the gods for being unfair and restart the level.

that last one might probably should be at the top.

One more thing, I had an issue after I created the hall that it took several years for him to actually arrive....
This happens occasionally, and it is annoying for guys that require a lot of scarce resources...

Assuming you have been waiting a few months (he really should come the month after you call) you can destroy the Hall and rebuild it to call again. If you dont have the resources to do that, your best bet is to use an old save file before you sent out the call. If you have to, go back to your annual autosave, its better than nothing.

IIRC it can take a while for a hero to show up.

And then when he does show up, he can take his sweet time tackling the threat.

Assuming all the basics are covered, there is no solving this. It just happens some times. Game bug, glitch, gremlin, whatever you want to call it. Annoying, but thems the breaks.... at least its very rare. Happens to me with Herc the Jerk all the time. Well, not all the time... but its annoying so I am whining.

specifically, i meant did they get the issue on his end solved :P even if it meant restarting

ive never had this error happen to me. closest thing to it was a 50 year long raid with herc in the first campaign.
