Hey, greetings.

I just recently bought the city builder pack with Zeus, master of Olympus (and it's expansion pack) along with some other games which I haven't downloaded yet. The problem is that every single time I try to run the game the mouse wheel goes into loading mode, the screen then goes black and nothing else happens. The system hangs up and not even the Num lock or caps lock keys work, if I click on them the little green lights do not answer, so, I have to reboot the computer.

I have tried some of the suggested solutions both in the forum and the support page for the game, but none had worked so far and I am getting paranoid about running the game and having to reboot the computer afterwards.

I am on windows 7 64 bits, 4 gigas of RAM, and a AMD Athlon Dual core processor 4550e at 2.30 GHz.

Any help would be much appreciated by a nostalgia hit fan. :)

Cheers!

Try to install this - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

You can also install widescreen patch - http://www.wsgfmedia.com/jackfuste/Zeus/Zeus.7z

And don't forget to run the game as admin.
Hey, thanks for the answer. Apparently, installing the widescreen mod solved the problem, the computer didn't freeze again and I was able to play!

Many thanks. :)
Bump!

I'm getting the same message - could that be due to our region. No one else seems to have this issue after all.
Maybe we are automatically being redirected to a different download mirror that distributes malware...?

Has anyone had the same problem and was able to solve it? If so then it would extremely nice if you'd post your solution. :D
I've spent more time than I would have liked to on looking for that patch.

Simply lowering the resolution on your screen will make it work, if you don't want to download the widescreen patch
