This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to save game progress?

Press F5 to access the save/load menu.

I can't save my game on a mac. Does anyone know how to do this?

I get an error message when I try and save my game, does anybody else have this problem? it would be nice to be able to save my game progress instead of having to try and finish it in one playing session.

I am also getting the error message and a quick google search shows that the problem is widespread. Please GOG, work on a fix. I love your business concept, but you need to work on these issues. This is not the only title with some sort of compatibility problem. It seems that running old games is getting harder with every new Windows release :(

I am also getting the error when try to save, I love this game but it is a little long to play through multiple times if I make 1 mistake. Is there a patch coming?

Please GOG, at least give som feedback. Are you working on a fix? Not working on a fix?

Did this work for you? I get nothing, and I need to save as I know I will be killed many times before I am done....

In current versions of ScummVM F5 will open the original in-game save dialog (limited number of save slots, text), and Ctrl-F5 will open up the ScummVM menu and in turn the ScummVM save dialog (unlimited number of saves, text+screenshot).

On laptops and similar non-standard keyboards, try Fn-F5.
