One thing that bugged me about Yooka-Laylee was the horrid Bloom, Depth of Field, and post-processing Antialiasing used which made the game not look as good as it could be. I wished there were advanced video settings but that is not here, yet but for now... that crap can be turned off:

Works perfectly with the GOG version and being able to turn the post-processing off makes the game look much cleaner and sharper. I also recommend using ReShade for SMAA to get rid of the jaggies in a sharper way.

The bloom and Depth of Field removal are really welcome, the game looks better, but I don't think SMAA can make a better job at antialiasing in this game. Actually, I wish a temporal solution was added (unless it's already using one, in which case it wouldn't be doing a great job eliminating the shimmering).

True, but it still has a sharper image than what looks like poor FXAA that is used in the game. I would rather have an okay sharp attempt at antialiasing than a poor blurry one.
Ah, excellent. I dislike bloom, and despise DoF/motion blur. Games always need an option to shut them off if they use those effects.

I do not mind them if they are implemented correctly, here they look terrible and without them this game looks amazing.

Aside from not liking how they look, the far bigger problem with them is that they hurt my eyes. Any sort of blurring effect like that, or even cleartype font smoothing. It causes some people a ton of eye strain(if I had to guess, because the muscles keep trying to adjust to bring what they're looking at into focus).
