Hello.
I have purchased Yakuza 7 on GOG and when i put my steam saves in the save folder after creating a new save on the GOG version the game says the saves are corrupted and cannot be loaded.

Does anyone know how to fix this and get the steam saves to work on the GOG version?

Maybe they don't, and can't be made to.

The GOG version stripped out some of the DLCs that the Steam version has, so those changes might have caused saved games that were made with the Steam version not to be compatible with the GOG version.

However, I do not know that to be so; I am simply making a guess.

But hopefully someone who knows more about these matters will post in this thread and give you a more definitive answer.

Thank you for your response. I did try decrypting it with the yakuza 7 save file tool but it didnt work. Maybe its a different save format. Hopefully someone online will take the time to figure out a way to get it working.

Hey guys! I actually have a tool for that.
Decrypt your save from steam and encrypt it for GOG and you're all set! Tested on my end.

I can't post links right now (thanks gog!) but you can find it by googling "rgg_save_tools" and my username here is the github author :)

Thank you soooo much! That worked. I had to drag the steam save to the y7 decryptor then encrypt it with the y7 gog encryptor. You are a legend
Course man! :) Glad the tool came in helpful!
Thank you very much @GarnetSunset ! You're a (gamer) life saver ;)

Then, as @squirty13 said: "drag the steam save to the y7 decryptor then encrypt it with the y7 gog encryptor".

Hello, for some reason when i try to do this the application opens for half of a second and the file is unaffected. Have any clue what the issue may be?
im late to reply to you but ill leave this in case anyone in the future is wondering, simply drag the data.sav file into the encryplor.exe file

Thank you so much for this tool; I deeply appreciate all of the hard work you put into it! I finally have all of my saves up and running from the Steam versions.
