Well, this is quite frustrating.

I've played through the entirety of 0 and am on the late parts of Kiwami now but suddenly I can't move forward.

I'm at the part of the game where you're leave Serena and eventually climb an abandoned building going through scores of Yakuza.

At one point during the climb, the game hits a "Now Loading" screen, the only one I've ever seen, and it never loads the room. I've gone through the climb thrice already. The last time I reinstalled the game, telling the installer to check integrity to double check it wasn't an issue with either corrupted install or a mod problem. Didn't help. So now I'm a bit stumped, right at the end too.

I've used the offline installer and am running Linux, through Lutris. Don't think this is part of the issue because it is just this one loading screen, now a "sometimes" problem and, as mentioned, I've played not only the entirety of 0 but also most ot Kiwami by now without issues (other than Kiwami having inventory corruption if you save through the pause menu, something that seems common).

I was using a handful of minor mods but have since reinstalled too (for the record: licensed music restoration, cutscene textures in game and hi res font).

Am I alone here? Could the integrity check not be picking up a corrupted .bin? It's also frustratingly deep into that climb, I'm guessing that's the final room

UPDATE:

I had reinstalled over the old installation and confirmed things had been overwritten by checking the intro reverted to the one without the original song.

But I decided to give another go and actually installed it from fresh, which seems to have sorted it out so... if at first you don't succeed delete everything before trying again? I guess?

Also confirmed that the area transition in question was, indeed the one to get to the rooftop of that building
