I got the game downloaded and installed. I set the xiii.ini file to run at 1920x1080 at 105 degrees fov, and when I tested it, the game itself runs fine, but the start up logos (Ubisoft, Alienware, etc...) as well as the video cutscenes that go in between levels don't play a sound.

Is there something else I am missing here?

Also, would forcing 4xMSAA via Catalyst Control Center work on this game?

I have the same issue and I was hoping someone could help me with that.

If you have Creative audio card than add game to ALchemy software and it will restore all missing audio. It worked for me.
