I can't launch the game. The error window looks like this:
Can't find file for package 'WinDrv'
History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

I think this is due to the graphical card (ATI RX580)
Has nobody found a fix for this? I just got the game today and am getting the same error.

Same here
Have you installed the XIII All-In-One Installer Unofficial Patch on top of the game? If not I recommend doing that.

Same here, I've tried restarting my computer, installing it on my C drive instead of an a storage drive, installing old copies of DIrectX9, the all in one installer at both locations, everything I can think of. I do run a laptop with an intel igpu, as well as a GTX 1070, so that is the only thing that I can think of that would cause the driver error.
I wish I had anything helpful to say but I've never encountered this error myself before and looking for it on the www did not show me any working solutions. Sorry. :(
Getting the same error and nothing seems to be working so far. Have tried all the steps mentioned above.
Have you already switched to window mode?

XIII.ini
FIND
StartupFullscreen=True
REPLACE
StartupFullscreen=False

Otherwise mess around with other XIII.ini settings.

Honestly though, I believe there's a specific library file from Windows or dependencies missing which XIII\System\WinDrv.dll is attempting to load.
If you are kind of versed in reverse engineering, you could check what files the XIII.exe is trying to load through WinDrv.dll and at which particular point it fails. There's also a tool for dependency determination of files.

The fix is to install it in the C drive main root and not through gog galaxy from what i've seen. download the offline installer through the desktop site and install it directly at C:/

FWIW the crash log mentions HXAudio.dll.

Same here - any fix for this - even the Patch did not work nor above mentioned solutions - plz help!
Windows updated to latest version?

Also - since the problem potencially hints towards HXAudio.dll - is there something different for your sound/audio setup, e.g. headphone only plugged in, etc. or customized audio settings on Windows? If so, you should try it again with reverted settings. Same for GPU configuration.
Yep Windows updated and also tried it with an older version - I don´t have an issue with HXAudio.dll this was another guy here. I just can´t start the game due to this issue. Also verifying game etc. does not work.. Seems some components are missing in the download (Galaxy + Offline Download)

Makes sense. I'll focus my testing on potential audio issues and will report if I figure anything out. Thanks for the help.
