I really enjoyed this entry and I want to help those who also enjoyed it have the best overall experience. Simple tip... The GOG version comes packaged with an obsolete version of nGlide, so after installation, do the following:

Delete these files from the root directory...

3DfxSpl.dll;
3DfxSpl2.dll;
3DfxSpl3.dll;

glide.dll;
glide2x.dll;
glide3x.dll;

nglide_config.exe;
nglide_readme.txt.

And download and install the latest version of "nGlide": https://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
Open the "nGlide Configurator" and make the necessary adjustments.
