Is anyone experiencing problems with the opening video not playing?

For me, it starts to play for half a second then cuts straight to the main menu.

I am using Direct3D graphic mode with hq3x scaling at 640x480 resolution.

Thank you.

Plays fine for me.

Make sure you're using the latest video drivers.....(just kidding, don't hit me.)
Same thing here! No intro video.
The sound is a little choppy when changing screens, but otherwise the game runs ok.

edit: just use ddraw and select none on the scaling engine menu and you'll be fine.
The weird thing is that it works only on a windowed resolution (1024x768).
The intro video plays ok now, but I wanna play fullscreen! :)

The opening clip isn't playing for me either. I tried experimenting with different graphics settings but without much result. The odd thing is that pressing Enter button once while Microprose logo is displaying makes the intro play for me.

Thanks for this workaround. It never occured to me to press Enter at the Microprose logo. At least I can watch the full intro, though it still doesn't play on its own.

Slow down DOSBox's emulation by decreasing its CPU cycles to 50% by pressing CTRL-F11 repeatedly.
This slows down all the attract mode screens so they don't end before they start.

That seems to have worked. Thanks for that.

You're welcome, even though my reply was a year late!
