This post is meant to help any old and new GOG.com owners of the game, to play skirmish mode or via LAN-VLAN, without following complex, outdated or invalid solutions.
The online key-code is from an (my) original retail copy of the game and works with the GOG.com version. It can be used solely for the purpose mentioned above.
Using this key will not enable you to play multiplayer via the internet, since the official servers have been shut down since 2015. If you want to play online on the community run server(s) this key will not work.
The online key-code is:
D3IB-T64U-YMIK-6CJ7-62LM
Just enter it in the appropriate field. It should work no matter how many GOG.com users apply it.
