You need Doom2.wad in the same directory as gzdoom.exe and wolf_boa.zip in order to play that.

Execute gzdoom.exe wolf_boa.zip

Also, the original site for WolfenDoom (with proper Dehacked .deh patches, which the modDB *version contains internally such that they'll only work on Zdoom ports) is here :

Are you sure about that? I just checked my installation and although the files inside the PK7 files don't show any .DEH dehacked patches, the console information that GZDoom shows does state that a dehacked patch has been applied and the game has custom map and enemy names, so that suggests that the dehacked patches are actually within the WAD files inside the PK7. Originally they wouldn't have been, and originally they weren't designed for ZDoom, but the ModDB page has the files modified for ZDoom and other source ports.

Yes, I'm sure that the originals came with Dehacked patches, without question, which make them work on a broader selection of source ports (including the DOS-based MBF which was the way to run them pre-Zdoom). I just took a look at the individual files in the ModDB version and there's an extra file specifically for Zdoom ports (*_fix.wad).

Running them shows a few differences also; the ModDB versions have an intro and Wolf3D music. Clearly they were modded by "NightFright" beyond what Laz had originally created. So, I stand by my statement that the original, hence proper, files were the ones released by Laz, though I also saw the same message reporting the Dehacked patch being applied, so I retract that statement.

It comes down to how much of a purist you are. Zdoom can run either just fine.

EG :
zdoom -iwad doom2.wad -file .\Pwads\Doom2\WolfenDoom\2nd_enc.wad -deh .\Pwads\Doom2\WolfenDoom\2nd_enc.deh

I think it goes without saying that these places are the definitive go-to when it comes to Wolf3D addons and mods, many of which are standalone too:

Mr. Lowe's classic yellow Wolf3D page

The Wolfenstein 3D Dome

And DieHard Wolfers, home of a great little Wolf3D community who still pump out goodness to this day.
