Hey all,

I'm experiencing strange FPS drops and stuttering in the MP mode. Whenever I join a server I have a lot of mouse lag while browsing the menus and once I get ingame it's night unplayable due to my FPS dropping to 15 and under.

What's up with that? I have some modifications to allow me to access the new MP list, the unofficial patch and some 3rd party .PK3 files but I can't understand why this is happening. Any solutions?

Seems like turning GL Extensions off affords me 2-5 extra FPS, but my lag is still significant.

I'm getting 60-85FPS when looking away from barbed wire but getting dropped to under 10-15 FPS when I look at it.

Listing your specs would also help a fair bit it aids troubleshooting.

I'm running Windows 10
Processor: AMD A10-5745M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.10 Ghz
8 Gigs of ram
It's be a 64-bit OS with a x64 processor.

hmmmm, do you have a dedicated or onboard gpu?

looks like you have a onboard gpu, I dont have much experience with those sadly, I would suggest you update your drivers but since you upgraded to win10 that likely not the issue.

anyone with more Win10 experience want to help here? I haven't upgraded to 10 yet.

I think it could be a ATI-specific problem. I remember having had this too on one of my pcs with a card from the 59xx-generation. Only in singleplayer tough (as I don't use MP).
I've also heard, that Win10 isn't able to support earlier Dx-Versions properly, but as RtCW works with DirectX 8, I'm not sure if that could be a problem. However, as this affects many games from earlier years, I personally will never ever upgrade to Win10.

I'm having the same problems. I'm playing single player, completely unmodded. My graphics card (AMD HD 7850), should be more than enough to run the game, but I'm getting a lot of stuttering. It's not unplayable, normal gameplay usually stays above 40 fps, which is totally okay, but it will drop to 10-20 fps very often.

I too had a lot of stuttering in the SP mode (Win 7, Radeon R9 280) but I have found a solution: be sure to deactivate in the game settings (the "system" tab) the option "compress textures".
