Is there a problem with cheats? I have the console enabled but all I get is an error message when I try to use a cheat. Anyone else having this problem?

When I put the cheat in just says cheats aren't enabled on this network. I've played the game before and they worked fine so I'm not really sure what the problem is.

Did you use set sv_cheats 1 code first?

Yes.

Make a quicksave
Go to the main menu.
Load the save.
Cheats will work now.

Why do I need to go through all this? The last time I played the cheats worked just fine without doing all that!

I am giving you a workaround that takes several seconds to complete. I do not like it either, but this is how it worked for me.

I understand what you're doing. I just don't understand why the cheats are suddenly not working correctly.

open GOG
go into your library
click on RTCW
click MORE
click SETTINGS
click Add Command Line Parameters
in the blank, enter +set sv_cheats 1
click PLAY

this will enable cheats

I don't think this will work if you start the game from the desktop. You may have to start from GOG for this to work.
